so, i started making a hooded afghan on thursday, for christine's baby shower.
the yarn felt fine when i bought it, though the pattern was kinda ugly. i figured the odd frequency of seed stitch stripes was mostly to keep track of rows, but it was still ugly.
so, i knit a couple of inches, it takes awhile when you're working on the side of a blanket, and felt the resulting material. it was horrible. like fiberglass. i can't in good conscience give something that feels like that to a baby, especially one that i'm related to. so christine's getting an activity blanket from molly for her baby shower. and i have to find better yarn for other projects. perhaps some cotton ease....
